Photogrammetry & 3D Reconstruction

Scope 3D reconstruction from suitable imagery to support site understanding, surface modelling and reality-capture workflows. Start with a representative sample and a defined target output.

PROJECT INPUTS

Start with the source.
Define the result.

Suitable overlapping photographs, camera metadata, available control, project boundary, reference systems and the required modelling detail.

POTENTIAL DELIVERABLES
  • Photogrammetric point clouds
  • Digital surface models (DSM)
  • Textured 3D meshes, where source quality supports them
  • Orthomosaic and model-review packages

Available imagery, software workflow and model requirements determine feasibility. A bare-earth DTM is a separate product and cannot be assumed from a photogrammetric surface. Confirm the processing pipeline before commissioning.

PRODUCTION WORKFLOW

Make each step reviewable.

A defined process connects your source data to the agreed acceptance criteria.

01

Check feasibility

Assess image coverage, viewing geometry and the level of detail the source can support.

02

Agree the model

Define surfaces, mesh extent, resolution, reference system and downstream use.

03

Evaluate a sample

Review a representative reconstruction before confirming volume processing.

04

Document the result

Deliver the agreed outputs alongside known gaps and the selected validation evidence.
