Efficient tiling and compression
Fewer compatibility problems between systems
When to bring in this service.
- Teams consolidating data from multiple sources
- Programs changing tile schemes or coordinate systems
- Clients resolving compatibility and delivery-validation failures
Delivery normalization
Versions, point formats, scales, offsets, flags and metadata aligned across the project package.
Spatial restructuring
Point clouds clipped, merged, retiled or reprojected with controlled boundaries and naming.
Archive and exchange
Lossless LAZ compression and manifests prepared for efficient storage, transfer and repeatable reopening.
Validated point records, coordinates and packaging.

Production workflow
Every project begins with a representative sample and measurable acceptance criteria.
Validate
Inspect versions, point formats, scales, offsets, bounds, VLRs, classes, flags and RGB attributes.
Standardize
Correct inconsistencies and align all files to the agreed coordinate and attribute model.
Transform
Clip, tile, merge, compress, reproject or classify according to the delivery plan.
Confirm
Reopen and test the final package for integrity, coverage and downstream compatibility.
Checks to agree with your reviewers.
Checks are selected from the actual deliverable specification and confirmed during calibration.
- Header and bounds validation
- CRS, scale and offset review
- Point-count and attribute reconciliation
- Open-test of every final tile
Work with the data you already capture.
Start with a source inventory and a representative sample. Confirm transfer arrangements before sharing restricted data.
Verify file integrity and coordinate meaning separately.
Specify an output manifest, transformation log, attribute reconciliation and file-validation results. Keep source files available for comparison.
- Reopen each delivered tile and reconcile point counts with approved operations
- Check CRS definitions, units, bounds, scale, offsets and retained dimensions
- Test decompression and representative downstream import before batch acceptance
Before you send a sample.
Can LAS files be converted to LAZ without losing data?+
LAZ uses lossless compression of LAS data. Compression must be distinguished from format conversion or coordinate changes, which can alter precision or remove unsupported attributes. Agree a decompression and attribute check for the handoff.
Can you merge and retile LAS/LAZ?+
Yes. Files can be clipped, merged or retiled with controlled boundaries, naming and metadata.
Can you repair incorrect LAS headers?+
Some header and metadata issues can be corrected when authoritative source information is available. Coordinate values, scales and offsets must be assessed together; assigning a guessed CRS is not a reliable repair.
