THE CLIENT OUTCOME

A controlled data pipeline from ingest to accepted deliverables.

01

Cleaner source data and fewer downstream surprises

02

Repeatable processing across large datasets

03

Visible quality evidence at delivery

BEST FIT

When to bring in this service.

  • Acquisition teams moving from capture into production
  • Firms reworking inconsistent or inherited datasets
  • Programs requiring repeatable processing across many tiles
01

Production preparation

Headers, coordinates, attributes, coverage and file integrity checked before expensive downstream work begins.

02

Elevation products

Classified points converted into terrain, surface, contour and hydro-treated products to the project specification.

03

Dataset remediation

Noise, classification, seams or packaging issues isolated and corrected without discarding useful source information.

DELIVERABLES

Processing steps selected for the required product.

LiDAR processing services covering source assessment, cleanup, classification, terrain generation, extraction and quality control.

01

Scoped noise filtering and point-cloud preparation

02

LAS/LAZ classification

03

DTM, DSM and elevation grids

04

Hydro treatment and breaklines

05

Feature extraction

06

Tile-level QA and delivery reports

CALIBRATED WORKFLOW

Production workflow

Every project begins with a representative sample and measurable acceptance criteria.

01

Ingest

Validate headers, extents, coordinate reference, point attributes, density and file integrity.

02

Process

Apply the calibrated cleanup, classification, surface and extraction workflow.

03

Inspect

Review systematic errors, seam behavior, artifacts, class use and completeness.

04

Deliver

Package production files, exceptions and acceptance evidence in the required structure.

ACCEPTANCE CONTROLS

Checks to agree with your reviewers.

Checks are selected from the actual deliverable specification and confirmed during calibration.

  • File and point-record integrity
  • Density and coverage anomalies
  • Class and surface consistency
  • Tile seams and delivery manifests

INPUTS TO ASSESS

Work with the data you already capture.

Start with a source inventory and a representative sample. Confirm transfer arrangements before sharing restricted data.

Georeferenced LAS/LAZProject specificationsControl and trajectoriesExisting classificationsAccepted reference tiles
YOUR ACCEPTANCE REVIEW

Trace each derived product back to its processing choices.

Request an input inventory, processing summary, output manifest, tile-level check results and exception log alongside point clouds and elevation products.

  • Reconcile source coverage and point counts with documented filtering
  • Review terrain artifacts, class use, no-data regions and tile seams
  • Verify grid alignment, resolution, datum and surface treatment against the specification
AGREE BEFORE PRODUCTIONRequired derivatives, class rules, filtering, raster resolution, hydro treatment, QA sampling and delivery batches.SCOPE LIMITThe standard starting point is a georeferenced point cloud. Sensor calibration, trajectory adjustment and recoverable alignment issues need a separate source assessment; missing returns cannot be recreated as measurements.REVIEW AND CORRECTIONSet the review window, defect reporting format and correction responsibilities in the scope. Record approved exceptions separately from items requiring rework.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Before you send a sample.

Can you process very large LiDAR datasets?+

Share the file count, total size, spatial extent and target date. A representative pilot establishes the workflow and provides a basis for confirming capacity, delivery batches and schedule.

Can you reprocess an existing dataset?+

Existing LAS/LAZ can be assessed for reclassification, noise filtering, terrain regeneration or new feature extraction. Recoverable issues and source limitations are documented during scoping.

Which LiDAR platforms are supported?+

Airborne, UAV, mobile and terrestrial point clouds can be scoped, including fused imagery where available.

START WITH ONE REPRESENTATIVE AREA

Discuss the scope
and required outputs.

Share the approximate volume, required outputs and acceptance criteria. Altivue Geospatial will define a focused production pilot.

Start with a short brief. Fields marked optional can be left blank; you do not need to have a specification ready.

Send a description only. Do not include source-data links, passwords, controlled data or personal information about other people. Data transfer and any confidentiality requirements should be agreed separately.
